One of the most powerful things a Christ-follower can learn to do is pray. Yet most people struggle in this area. The goal of the School of Prayer is to provide you with a thorough biblical instruction in the art of prayer, to remove common hindrances to the practice of prayer, and to infuse you with a passion for daily communion with God.

Your Instructor
Dr. David Ireland is the author of some 20 books, including: What Color is Your God?, The Skin You Live In, The Kneeling Warrior: Winning Your Battles Through Prayer, The Weapon of Prayer, and Raising a Child Who Prays.
Dr. David Ireland is the founder and lead pastor of Christ Church, a 13,500-member congregation in North Jersey representing over 70 nationalities. A former diversity consultant for the National Basketball Association, Deloitte, and Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health, he has also led personal development training for the NY Giants, Jets, and at the U.S. Pentagon.
Dr. Ireland. In 2025, David was named one of New Jersey’s Innovate 100 Leaders for helping drive meaningful innovation and impact across the state. He was also recently honored by the British Consulate for his social innovation. Dr. Ireland holds graduate degrees in engineering, theology, and organizational leadership; completed postdoctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania; and earned a postgraduate degree in social innovation from the University of Cambridge.
